These are quite incredible. Is the second image from a polaroid, and the first film?

Yes: that's exactly the case. I was really taken with the Polaroid, hoping I had the image on film, but the film feels like the one. Yet I enjoy how the Polaroid hides the collar. Collars are decorative for me, but sometimes are taken too literally.

I think it was you who told me that Helmut Newton would hand out his polaroids to his guests to use as coasters...
